Vodafone Revenue Falls

February 12, 2013 by rochelle in Business with 0 Comments

The Australian subsidiary of Vodafone Group has fallen some 16 percent in the last quarter of 2012. But that’s not the only bad news. The company also continue to lose thousands of its customers.

Data released by Vodafone headquarters showed that the Australian operations lost some 64,000 customers in the fourth quarter of 2012. Vodafone Hutchinson Australia also lost 128,000 customers in the same period.

The losses contributed to the 16-percent decline in revenue for Vodafone Australia. The company said that while it is experiencing some challenges, it is committed to improve networks and arrest weaknesses in how consumers perceive the Vodafone brand.

Vodafone Group and Hutchison Telecommunications Australia jointly own Vodafone Australia. HTA is expected to release its half-year financial report by the end of the month.

It appears though that Vodafone’s troubles are over. Bill Morrow, the chief executive of VHA, accused Communications Minister Stephen Conroy for intimation and bullying. Conroy was reported to have compared Bill Morrow o Sol Trujillo, the former head of Telstra.
