The rumor mill is buzzing for the launch of the iPad Mini with many saying that it would happen on October 23.

According to AllThingsD, Apple fans should watch out for the official unveiling of iPad Mini in the next two weeks. AllThingsD is the tech website of Dow Jones.

Although Apple has not made any comment on the rumored launch date, Apple fans are waiting for with bated breath on the new iPad Mini.

AllThingsD also said that the launch would be a by-invite-only event to be held on a Tuesday. Apple usually announces new products on a Wednesday.

The Wall Street Journal, meanwhile, said about 10 million iPads Minis are in current production.

If rumors are true that iPad Mini would be launched on Oct. 23, this means that the launch would happen two days before Microsoft is scheduled to launch its Surface tablet. On Oct. 25, Apple is also expected to report its quarterly earnings.

Speculations are also plenty online. Some say that the iPad Mini screen would have specs of 7.85 inches (or about 20 centimeters). The current screen size of iPad 3 is 9.7 inches.

While Apple has not issued any announcement on the launch of the iPad Mini, expect the rumors to go overdrive in the next two weeks.
