iPhone 5 Has Steve Jobs’ Inputs, Approval
If Apple fans are worried whether the iPhone 5 is still part of the legacy of Apple founder Steve Jobs, it appears that good news is waiting for them.
Industry sources say that the next-generation iPhone 5 has Steve Jobs’ blessings and that he was involved in developing it. The iPhone 5 is rumored to be released late this year.
As rumors swirl around the next iPhone, industry observers predict that it would have a larger four-inch screen. Bloomberg is also forecasting that the look of the iPhone 5 would be much different than its predecessors, iPhone 4 and 4S.
The larger four-inch screen alone is a deviation since all the iPhones have always had 3.5-inch display. Reuters has also reported that Apple has placed orders for display from other vendors like Sharp, LG and Japan Display, Inc.
Steve Jobs was also believed to have been involved in developing iPhone 5. One source said that although Jobs was on medical leave months before he passed away, he was very much aware from its conception to its final design.
It appears that the iPhone 5 was the last project that Jobs took on.
It doesn’t come off as a surprise, though. Apple products are usually in the pipeline for one to two years before they are launched to the market. Judging by the timeline, it is highly likely that Jobs still had time to work on the iPhone 5.
There is no official word from Apple on the release date of the new iPhone. Predictions, however, say that the iPhone 5 might be launched either August or September of this year.
