Dion Lee, Josh Goot Pull Out Of Fashion Week Australia

April 17, 2012 by rochelle in Lifestyle, People with 0 Comments

Fashion duo Dion Lee and Josh Goot announced that they are not joining the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia. The announcement came as a shock as the appearance of the two of Australia’s biggest designers was highly anticipated.

The statement was unexpected as it came just two weeks before the fashion show’s schedule on April 30. Lee and Goot are also two of the most-sought after designers in Australia because of their edgy aesthetics and minimalist designs.

According to Lee and Goot, tight scheduling forced them to back out. Lee is participating at the London Fashion Week scheduled on September. Goot, meanwhile, will launch its resort collection in June. His collection targets the international buyers.

Lee expressed his regret saying it was a difficult decision. He, however, believed that the international fashion show would be best for his collection.

For his part, Goot said that his team will be busy working on the new resort collection and that the Mercedes Benz-Fashion Week Australia might distract them from their work.

The organizers of the Fashion Week are exploring options to review the event.

Other designers have chosen to launch their collections ahead of the Fashion Week. Rebecca Vallance has announced her new spring-summer collection, much to the delight of her fans.

Vallance said her new collection focuses on Palm Springs vibe. She also showed several diamond prints, cactus and tiered layers to fashion buyers and media staff during the launch.

Other designers expected to showcase their designs before the Fashion Week include LIFEwithBIRD, Carla Zampatti, Kate Sylvester and Flannel.
