Who says a US Secretary of State can’t have fun?

The US Secretary of State partied at a Cuban club in Colombia over the weekend. Photos that surfaced online showed Clinton drinking and dancing with other club-goers.

Witnesses said Hillary Clinton arrived at Café Havana with 12 of her friends and a small group of bodyguards, which included a few Secret Service agents and her protective detail from the State Department. Café Havana is located in Cartagena, a seaside resort town.

The US Secretary of State was seen drinking Aguila cerveza directly from the bottle. Her group ordered two glasses of whiskey, bottles of water, and a dozen beers.

Clinton also danced the rumba to the tunes of Cuban sounds. She was also seen smiling and having her photos taken with other club guests.

The party photos quickly became viral. Many Internet-savvy users found the photos amusing with some observers saying Clinton’s popularity definitely increased.

The photos came after a similar photo of Clinton appeared in Time magazine and became an instant Internet meme. The photo showed the Secretary of State wearing dark sunglasses and texting inside a C-17 military plane.

It became the inspiration of Texts From Hillary, a blog where her photo was used in tandem with photos of celebrities who are also texting. Clinton also submitted her own contribution, where the photo showed her texting the blog creators.

The US Secretary of State was in Colombia to attend the Sixth Summit of the Americas. The international summit was attended by close to 30 world leaders.
