Aussie Actor Vince Colosimo in Bankruptcy Proceeding

August 20, 2013 by rochelle in Business with 0 Comments

Australian actor Vince Colosimo is set to appear in court on October 1st to answer charges in relation to the bankruptcy proceedings handled by Dandanis & Associates, a Melbourne law firm.

The said firm, which claims to offer high quality legal advice, is demanding $36,000 from the actor and have filed their notice last May 22.

The actor has not yet responded to the allegations through the media.

Vince Colosimo, 46 years old, gained popularity through the TV show “Underbelly” and has done over 30 productions in movies, TV and theatre for the last 30 years. Apart from acting, he is also an investor of a cafe in Northcote. The actor is also well-known for being a food and wine enthusiast.

Colosimo is currently in the production of “Fat Tony & Co”, which is said to be the spinoff of his popular series. The show is about a convicted drug lord, Tony Mokbel, who has been in hiding in Greece after leaving his life in Melbourne.

In 2008, Colosimo was also dragged in a different courtroom battle against Jane Hall, his former partner. They have agreed to end their 11-year relationship with the actor gaining 90% of the sale of their property, also in Nortcote. The two, however, have since stopped bickering and sources say that Ms. Hall even briefly lived in their former house, as she was preparing to move into her new place.
