July 30, 2013 by rochelle in Business with 0 Comments

Online retail giant Amazon.com is planning on adding 5,000 more full time jobs across its 17 facilities in the United States.

The company, which is working on improving its deliveries and customer relations better, is also planning to hire more than 7,000 workers for its customer service network. The job expansions will be felt across ten states in the country, extending from California to South Carolina.

Amazon claims that these 5,000 jobs are meant for warehouse work and pay is touted at least 30% higher than what other retail stores provide. A spokesperson for the company said, “In the last year alone, Amazon opened eight fulfillment centres in the US, resulting in thousands of new jobs being added to communities nationwide.”

The company is now in the process of hiring people for this customer service arm in four states in America. The slots for these jobs will include full-time work, part-time work and seasonal jobs.

Amazon’s main office is based in Seattle.
